Where are the people of Ayodhya in between the Mandir-Majid clashes ?
Babri Majid was demolished in the year 1992 after a long political cold war in the country. It is said that Lord Ram was born in Ayodhya in 5114 BC but there is no such proof of the particular date . It is the people’s belief and the faith of the devotees for which the place is one of the most sacred places in India.
Mughal leader Babur built a mosque in the year 1528–29 in Ayodhya which was known as Babri Masjid , it is said that the masjid was constructed where lord Ram was born and Babur destroyed that particular place to built the Masjid but there is no such evidence of the fact that Lord Ram was born there itself. It is also said this was a fake propaganda by the Britishers to create communal tension between the Hindus and the Muslims in India.
As per a local survey and few documentaries being made on the same incident, I could figure out that the local people of Ayodhya are against it as they do not want any communal riots in the place and they want a peaceful solution for the same. But it is the politicians who are happy playing politics over the issue and as if bringing down a Masjid and making a Ram Mandir in the same place will be a matter of pride for them. This so called Hindutva leaders never thought about the situation which might happen after the incident. They claim that Babri Masjid was constructed by Babur and as he was an invader and looted India, so, there must not be any sentiment for the masjid made by him. But why do we then consider the Taj Mahal as the representative of the Seven Wonders of the World? Wasn’t that built by a Mughal king? Why don’t we demolish all the Mughal architecture in the national capital? Such never ending questions will keep coming if you get into the story more and more.
In this piece of mine, my intention is not to hurt any party or religion but are we doing justice being a human. How is that a justice when a Masjid was demolished to make a Mandir ? Which India are we heading towards where there is still religious unrest even in such a technologically advanced and fast moving generation?
