Is people calling Virat as Sachin ahead of time ?

Run machine Virat Kohli is being generally compared with Little master Sachin Tendulkar by many big cricket pundits. It’s true that the approach Virat uses while batting is unique and he doesn’t give his opposition any chance to settle down , on the other hand sachin played his innings depending on the situation and he has also got enough supports from his partners.
It is difficult to compare men of two different eras even if their eras somewhat overlap. No statistical exercise can prove that one player is better than the other. Conditions vary with place and differ more so with time. 
Sachin belongs to an era where he faced some deadly fast bowler like Wasim,Waqar,Imraan , Akthar, McGrath, Lee, Donald, Ambrose and also the spin legends like Warne, Murli, Saqlain , it wasn’t realy easy to score runs against them and in those days the approach of batting was bit defensive ,on the other hand Virat has never faced such bowling legends and also the style of playing cricket has changed in a drastic way over the period of time after the inclusion of T20 cricket.

Here are some of the areas where Virat is still below the little master

Ø  To break Sachin’s record of 18426 runs Virat need 11214 runs more. He needs to plays another 11 year and score on an average 1020 runs every year to break his record.
Ø  Apart from batting Sachin contributed with his bowling and won many match for india most of the time and Virat hardly balls in any formet .
Ø  At the age of 27 Sachin scored 9262 runs in 249 matches at. Virat at the same age is quite behind the master when it comes to runs tally ,he has scored 7212 runs in 171 matches .
Ø  Sachin faced many transition phases in his team ,starting from playing with Kapil and Gavaskar till ending up his career under Dhoni, but Virat is yet to taste the same as he is playing with almost the same bunch of cricketers since his debut.


What is impressive about Sachin is how he changed the way we perceive cricket. Indian cricket was docile, he made it emphatic; it was staid, he made it vibrant. He blended class with talent, aggression with correctness, individual brilliance with team effort and a bit of ODI temper with that of the Test and lifted up the quality of cricket several notches. 
Virat  has just played over 200 international matches as compared to sachin’s 650+ and average tend to dip as you go longer . 
It will be interesting to see where Virat will stand when he completes his 100 test and over 300 ODI’s and will Virat be able to carry the burden of the nation like the little master carried for 24 long years .

They call cricket a gentlemen’s game, ever since I started watching cricket I was forced to believe so, I have observed gentlemen from many countries and was shocked to see how they defined the term. Assam Cricket’s First International Tour.

Assam Cricket Team is all set to travel to Sri Lanka for their first ever International tour. Team Assam will be travelling on 22 nd of August, 2018 to play against a few teams of Sri Lanka. The 17 days long tour will have 4 One Day Matches and 4 Two day matches. The Captain of the one day team will be Sivsankar Roy and the Two days matches will be lead by Amit Sinha.
