Hornbill: Not Just A Festival

Image
Hornbill festival is one of the most popular festival of Northeast India, known as the “Festival of Festival’s” hornbill over the period of time has helped rest of the country to realize that the most neglected part of the nation has some story to tell. Not only national, the international turnouts amazed me as well. While me and my friends were preparing for the festival, my family members were a bit worried about how the place is going to be like. They never explored those places but still had a notion that those places are not so safe. I had no option but to ignore them (with due respect) and hence started packing my bag.                                           So, I stated from Guwahati on 1 st of December and took a break at one of my most favorite place ( you can say my other home, Lumding) , we had a 2 nights and 3 days package and managed to reach Dimapur by 5am ...

Barsapara capable enough to host Test Cricket: Daren Ganga

Image
The newly constructed Barsapara stadium has witnessed one of the finest match people could ever imagine. Chasing 323 wasn’t easy but the class and elegance of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma was enough to reach that target within just 42 nd over of the Indian innings. The pitch helped the batsmen and there was nothing much for the bowlers to do and as a result the spectators of Guwahati witnessed three centuries in a match. Before the start of the match, I had an interaction with former West Indies Cricketer Daren Ganga.  He was a right-handed top order batsman and part-time right-arm offbreak bowler. He played 48 test matches and 35 ODI for West Indies. Hi Daren, welcome to Guwahati. How are you feeling after visiting here? Oh, feeling great. It’s a beautiful looking stadium, the stands reminds me of Barcelona stands, beautifully decorated and great weather to play cricket. The pitch looks good as well, not sure if bowlers are going to get something out of it but I...

India defeated the mighty Windies by 8 wickets in the first ODI in Guwahati. West Indies after batting first gave India a target of 323. Shimron Hetmyer scored a brilliant century to guide the team to a mammoth score, a little cameo from Bishoo and Roach helped them to reach the total. Chahal picked up three wickets and Shami and Jadeja shared two wickets each. In replay India lost Dhawan early and that was followed by massive 246 run partnership between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Both of them got their century before Kohli was stumped by Shai Hope. Later Rohit Sharma finished things off in style for India, he scored 152 off just 117 balls. Virat Kohli was adjusted the man of the match for his 140 off just 107 balls. Earlier India won the toss and elected to field first, Virat mentioned that there was a bit of grass on the field and there will also be dew in the later part of the innings which will be helpful for the batsmen. Rishabh Pant made his ODI debut in the matc...

Is Public Relation missing in Assam Cricket?

Image
Public Relations and Cricket are two different things, but Public Relation in Cricket is the need of an hour for Assam Cricket. Cricket is a widely played sport in India, we have been playing it much before our independence as well. India played the first test cricket in 1932, which means 15 years before the independence but there are a few states in India that lacks the intensity to develop a cricketer who can represent the nation. Assam is one of them,  there are players who have represented the state in Ranji Trophy, represented East Zone and various other National tournaments. Then why not the national side? Public Relations play an important role to develop an image of any particular brand or organization. If we think of those state in India who has done excellence in Cricket, the states which will always remain in the top of our mind are Maharastra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Punjab etc. It’s not because those state has produced legends like Sachin Tendulkar, V...

Media monitoring is one of the most essential part of Public Relations and Social Media. Monitoring the media helps you understand what the impact of your company has on your customers and the public. Monitoring media can help analyse all aspects of your company’s media image, and can help you obtain headlines and stay on top of the news in your industry. You can discover what works, what isn’t working, and exactly what your customers are saying. Many companies ignore media monitoring until something negative occurs or the reputation starts to get out of control in a negative way. In Social Media, the landscape has undergone a huge transformation in the last couple of years.
